I was still reeling from yesterday and how everything played out. After talking on the phone with Geezy, BK and I packed up his things that were stored in the garage and the huge gift box that was sitting in the living room and dropped it off at Trisha’s house. Trisha looked like she wanted to spit fire seeing both of us standing on her doorstep. We quickly left the things and were on our way before anything else popped off.

I was in my feelings and decided to take the day off, and BK surprised me with a trip to the spa, and it was much needed. I was in the massage chair receiving a pedicure when my phone pinged twice. I decided to ignore it because this lady was putting in work on my swollen piggies. By the time I was done with the full body massage and facial, I was cutting it close to time to pick up the kids, so I redressed and rushed to the school.

I pulled into the carpool line, and the gate was already closed, notifying us that we were late picking up our kids. I parked in the spot closest to the entrance and rushed inside.

“Hello, I’m here to pick up Gizelle and Christian Little. I got caught in traffic; I’m sorry,” I informed the receptionist.

“We don’t have any children here. They were all picked up on time for once today, thank God,” the receptionist replied.

“Who picked them up?” I instantly had an attitude. I knew the answer to the questions, but I still decided to ask.

“I’m sorry ma’am, we don’t check ID for everyone. As long as they have the car tag, we send them out. That’s why we were very clear during orientation that you need to ensure that only people who you would grant permission to pick up your children at any time have possession of a tag,” the receptionist chastised me, only adding to my fucked up mood.

“Thank you,” I marched back to my car and pulled my phone out.

Once the screen lit up, I saw two text messages from the number Geezy called me from yesterday.

(813-777-5555): I want to see my kids today. Trisha is going to pick them up for me when they get out of school.

(813-777-5555): You ain’t text back and we here now so I’ll have Trisha drop them off after dinner.

I pulled out of my parking spot and headed back home. I was ecstatic that BK was off for the rest of the week because I don’t know what I would have done if all of this shit popped off while he was away. When I got home BK had the house smelling good. I could tell that he deep cleaned the house, and dinner was cooking.

“Ummm it smells good in here baby,” I walked into the kitchen where BK was checking on the salmon.

“Not as good as you do,” BK kissed me on the lips. “You got that thang waxed?”

“Boy, is you ever not trying to be nasty?” I brushed past him.
